Welcome to the University Copier Program
UNLV implemented a university-wide services agreement with Xerox in October 2003. The contract was implemented to reduce overall university copying costs by reviewing the university's Xerox equipment inventory, updating old and outdated equipment with new digital technology, and salvaging student/public copying.
Reprographics has been assigned the responsibility for managing the university's services contract with Xerox. Every effort has been made to work with departments regarding meeting department needs and keeping costs as low as possible.
Copier rates have been reviewed and approved by the Controller's Office and are in compliance with the university cost accounting standards. Below are the FY-05 monthly copier costs for your department's Xerox copier(s) under the university's Xerox services contract through the University Copier Program. This rate will remain constant throughout the FY05 fiscal year.
Your monthly Xerox copier charges include all of the following:
- Monthly base cost
- Monthly meters
- All consumable supplies (dry-ink, fuser lube, etc., except paper and staples)
- Maintenance by two Xerox service technicians located on campus
- Miscellaneous contract expenses

- Two Xerox service technicians located on campus with direct UNLV 1-888-364-1103 contact number for quick service response.
- On campus preventative service and maintenance from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm , Monday thru Friday.
- Needs Analysis to provide the best-fit copier for your department's needs.
- Ordering of equipment, delivery and set-up.
- Training in your department around your schedule. Copier supplies (toner, developer) included in monthly cost.
- On-campus inventory of supplies for immediate delivery and replenishment.
- Invoice payment and internal billing through Advantage.
- Monthly usage reports provided.
- Centralized point of contact for service and supplies.
- Monthly meter readings taken by UCP staff.
- Student/Public copying salvaged for ongoing service.

- Your on-campus Xerox service technicians are Dick Kelley and Aaron Kinsman.
Meters
- Meters are included in your monthly cost.
- Copier program staff will take meter readings the 22 nd of every month.
Supplies

- Non-chargeable Supplies: Dry Ink, Fuser & Xerographic Modules.
- Chargeable Supplies: Staples.
Copy Paper
- Copy paper is NOT provided for departmental copiers by the UCP.
- Departments should order their copy paper from Boise Cascade or whatever vendor they choose.
